My name is Kendrah Winters-Pearson

Dr. Kendrah Winters-Pearson, EdD, is a dedicated advocate and leader in technical education, currently serving as the Executive Director of Technical Programs for the Kentucky Community & Technical College System. With a doctoral degree in Career and Technical Education from the University of Wisconsin–Stout and over 15 years of higher education experience, Kendrah supports technical program curriculum committees, facilitates credit for prior learning initiatives, and champions work-based learning opportunities.

 

Her expertise ranges from advising nontraditional students to directing prior learning assessment programs. Beyond Kentucky, Kendrah's influence extends as an independent consultant and a consultant for the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL), shaping educational policies nationwide. As a first-generation college student from a blue-collar background, Kendrah understands the transformative power of technical education. Her passion for initiatives like credit for prior learning and support for nontraditional students drives her work.

 

Outside of work, Kendrah enjoys brewing beer with her husband, spending time with her adult children and animals, reading, and exploring new destinations.
